Accademia del Volo

Our flight academy has been certified by ENAC as a IT.ATO.0082 Training Centre. It allows the students coming from all over the world to get their licences and certifications, necessary to become an airplane pilot, or simply to pursue one’s passion of flying in their free time.

“Accademia del Volo” was founded in the town of Viterbo, in 2011, and was later moved to Perugia, in 2014, and here located at the “San Francesco di Assisi” International Airport, the only airport in the Umbria region for passenger line flights.

The decision to move the operating base of the Accademia del Volo to the Perugia Airport, has proved to be a strategic initiative from the very beginning, since the training programmes do not require transfers to other airports, due to the infrastructures the airport is endowed with, and the presence of auxiliary equipment for the radio navigation of the aircraft,

The infrastructures and the operating procedures of the flight school guarantee high standards of skill, thanks to a proper type of training, based on the work of a team of instructors, selected among the best professional pilots, with a long experience in the flight training, in both the civil and military field.

The aircraft pilot is today one of the most sought-after professional in the job market, a phenomenon bound to increase exponentially, in the coming years, alongside with the expansion of the airline traffic and the rise of the demand of expert pilots by the airline companies. According to a survey by Pilot&Technician Outlook 2019-2038, one of the most authoritative study sector done by the Boeing, by the future 20 years 800,000 civil pilots will be necessary to fly and keep the world aircraft.
