FI Flight Instructor

The role of the flight instructor entails great responsibility, requiring careful training and the ability to pass on the right knowledge to their students. The course enables students to obtain Flight Instructor Certification (FI), acquiring the professionalism and skills needed to train future airline pilots.
Students, whether beginners or experienced in aviation, thanks to the course, will have the opportunity to embark on a career as an instructor and pass on passion and skills to the pilots of tomorrow.

Specifications:

Practical Examination Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18 to be admitted to the course
  • CPL(A) or PPL(A) Licence, and being in possession of at least a theoretical certification CPL(A) or ATPL(A)
  • 30 hours of flight on aircraft class SEP, 5 hours of which done within the last six months FCL.930.FI(A).
  • 10 hours of IFR basic training, with a maximum 5 hours on FNPT or approved simulator.
  • 200 hours of flight, 150 of which as a PIC.
  • Passing a “pre entry” exam check, while flying, held by a qualified instructor, within the last six months, prior to the beginning of the course.

Theoretical course

  • If the student has obtained the FI (A) certificate: 30 lesson hours
  • If the student has not obtained the FI (A): 155 lesson hours

Flight training

  • 10 hours of flight practice on an airplane or FFS
  • Final examination AOC held by a qualified instructor
